I have an 820-00850 which has one dead USBC Port. Checked the ports, they are all clean.
All other 3 ports work perfectly. Customer also just worked on the machine, no issues, besides from it not wanting to go to sleep.
I cannot find any corrosion other then some dusty areas, but none of them...
i know it's a farcry, but
did you figure anything out about this model yet? I'm looking at 00850 schematics but they're not really similar enough to get anything useful. have one taking 20V @ 0.006Amps but nothing else. CPU gets like a couple degrees hotter than the rest of the board.. (nothing...
thanks a lot for the info!
OK. So i guess it's best to just replace the RIO Board then.
Also, if a machine is already in my shop and it needs to be updated by me, do you happen to know (slim chance, i know) if it'll be fine if i run the update without the RIO connected, and reconnect it after...
Like the title says:
Big Sur is out a couple of days and i have had about 3 customers hand in their A1502 (from 2013/2014 and 2015) for same issue: update stalled and the Mac ends up displaying only black screen.
After unplugging the I/O-Board the update can be continued, but the I/O Board...
sorry to burst into this topic, I like to read posts on here to help learn from other people's repairs, so i read a lot of posts.
Your posts are very difficult to read and i have mad respect for 2infos for actually trying to help you regardless..
Dude, surely there are some words you can learn...
so following the power on sequence:
I am having everything up until SSD0_OCARINA_WP_L
Have no idea where that's from (i'm assuming PMIC here)
SSD0_OCARINA_PFN is there at 1.8v
SSD0_OCARINA_RESET_L is 0.0v
ok, i was under the assumption these would start automatically when charger is connected.
I realised there was a power diagram yesterday and indeed saw that same sequence, so tried triggering PMU-ONOFF_L to ground with tweezers while measuring PP3v3_S5: but no response, no pulsing either.
hi there
these are quite new to me still, dont get them often.
So i fixed a short on ppbus, was caused by C9074 which spontaneously died i think (liquid was not near this at all)
It's hard to find liquid on this guy, but i found some traces broken around U5111 (which i think arent critical)...
I have had this issue with 2016/2017/2018 screens (13 and 15 inch) as well. A lot of the ones that are being sold, don't have an ALS sensor, or have one, but somehow it's not pairing with the logicboard (i read somewhere that there is some preprogrammed code in the sensor/screen, if it's not...
doublechecked everything, not trying to rewrite nature's laws, but:
The short to ground measures at 0.76Ohms (my Brymen MM leads have 0.14Ohms resistance).
Still when i inject voltage (from a Riden PSU with 6A max) at 2V the board's taking 1.006A..
regardless of what 's causing this, something...
