Yes, using Amtech 559. I removed the LP8550 yesterday and replaced it and the problem was solved. Backlight now works! I'm waiting on a 4mm nozzle for the my Weller WHA900. Reflow with Chinese air stations sucks! Thanks Louis and aprendiz!

I buy IPA and distilled water at drug/grocery stores as well, I guess what I'm asking is there a better place to buy the lab grade stuff? Possibly in bulk?

I believe I measured at the wrong pins. I am getting 3.282V on PIN 2 and PIN 3 of the LVDS connector

This board was originally liquid damaged. I did try a different display and the same issue persists. I am getting: 0.66V pin 2 0.88V pin 3

I have continuity between Pin 5 and D9701. Is it possible that I did a bad job replacing the LP8550?

Removed the LP8550, I have continuity from PPBUS_SW_LCDBKLT_PWR_SW (pin 6 and 7) to pin L9701. Does that mean the SW trace is good?

Did you try an NVRAM reset?

Boot from a known good OS, format the SSD and reinstall the OS from a known good installer. Cannot say what is bad if anything before trying that.
