Hi yes continuity on both L8502/L8503 . These should read about .5 diode reading but they read .223 . u8502 enable pin 11 Can I measure this with board out or does webcam need to be connected. How to check ALS?

Looks like the ribbon cable may have inserted in the wrong pins.

L7220/L7210 are 1.06v L72701.05v L7410/L7420/L7430 all 0v Im told it powered up and display and touchbar worked then the connector of touchbar got very very warm and after that no display on screen and no touchbar display.

Hi the main display and the touchbar display are not working. No external video or usb activity.

I have a unit here that J4402 was getting very warm with no display. 20v is getting to the board. it draws 700ma and cpu gets warm but no chime. J4402 had a bit of damage so will replace it. board acts the same with touchbar connected or not. the diode reading on j4402 are all good.

I made some progress. I changed u7650 now getting 100ma then goes to 900ma then cycles back down to 100ma . If I leave it then it starts charging the battery and goes to 2 amps. Another short somewhere ?. Inspecting audio board now, again thanks for you input its greatly appreciated.

I found was what dragging down the diode reading for l7670 (U8110) replaced but now cycles between 50ma and 100ma 20v (stays at .50ma with battery) . Tried restore and revive dfu but they error out at the end with "gave up waiting for device to transition 0xFCA). Will continue to troubleshoot...

Hi thanks for your help, only thing that stands out is around U2120 ,the 4 resistors feeding it get to 30c with 5v injected at L7670. Strange thing is boardview shows the ic but pdf file will not find it. Is there a 820-01521-A version of schematic?

Looks like there was little spillage around q7660. PPBUS_G3H goes between 12.2 and 12.6v. Current starts at .100ma then works to 400ma for a second then drops back to 100ma. Nothing visibly getting warm except t2 which is at around 40c. PP5V_G3S is present. PP5V_S5_LDO = 5v PP3V3_G3H = 3.3v...

There doesnt seems to be any kind of corrosion or spillage on the board. I dont have a known good battery for this but I have by-3200 here connected to bench supply. current at 300ma without battery and goes up to 1.2a then back to 30ma with battery in, same with original charger. U9500 @70c...

Apologies mean to say that EDP_INT_AUX_N is open when measured diode mode but EDP_INT_AUX_P has .170 on diode mode. I changed the lcd cable and screen. Looks like CPU ?.

With screen connected 3V3/5V_S0SW_LCD go high briefly but DP_INT_HPD does not .

I have one of these with flexgates powers up fine. I repaired cable and reassembled . Now it only gets to 200ma - 300ma , cpu gets warm no chime . touchpad vibrates but keyboard light does not come on. I have removed the backlight cable but still the same. I also tried test screen but still...

It goes into DFu no problem but errors out on revive.
