hi, this macbook came in, dead, but no 20v yet, so i dont jump to cpu bad conclusion ( yeah in the future maybe, but customer wants data ) there's no 5v at ammeter. ppdcin at r7020and r7010 is 0v. whole board is pristine, am I looking at some kind of bad mosfet here ? pointer is appreciated...

Yes. my own machine ( known good ) doesnt restart with the screen assembly, but its okay, customer agreed to replace logicboard now..

okk.. l4010 removed, no more restart. no ic to blame, too. as expected, camera doesnt work too. im quite confused about the conclusion, wheres the wrong ? pp5v_s0 is 5v, so pp5v3 must be good too.

ok so q1920 and q1420 is blown. replaced both, macbook turned on, back to square one. j4002 plugged in will cause restart in 10s after booting. c4013 is 5v, without j4002 conected.

no I mean, the logicboard died. so we troubleshoot dead logicboard now..

ok so logicboard died out of nowhere. pp5v_s5 is cycling. pp3v3_s5 is cycling. i have measure pp5v_s5, s4, s3, s0 pp3v3_s5, s4,s3, s0 ppvrtc, and i use thermal cam, but i dont see any short. is this tps problem ?

the problem is from the customer's flex. using my known good, everything works.. but replacing the whole assembly isnt viable.. anyway maybe i can fix the flex ?

hi, this mac came in pristine, no damage at all anywhere, but when J4002 is plugged in, 10s after booting, mac wil shutdown immediately. with j4002 unplugged,macbook is normal. when tested with another flex, its normal. any chance to repair this or maybe masking a few line to prevent restarT ?

solved : u6200/300 is replaced from same board model. maybe my donor is broken.. thanks for the help!

r1300-1303 is all good according to spec. 33 ohm. hda_rst_l 1.8v codec_rst_l 0v r6204 is good.

theres 3.3v at both end of L6302. so good.

its not consistent, sometimes when power button work, fan still spin, but no display, but sometimes display came. sometimes using battery will prevent display from coming too. but after I conclude that battery is inhibiting boot, then it works again after a while. i think its not something to do...

hmm yeah i for sure seen 3435/37 board without proper fan cycle too, but didnt want to bother with it. macbook still behave the same btw after bios changed.

u6360 is outputting l83_1v8 , 1.8v. both coil L6301 and and L6300 is transmitting correct 1.8v.

i assume power is from pp1v8_s0, present on c6203. c6000 supply cs8409_Va_pll 1.4v

do you have known good 3435-b bios file ? the one i find forum named 820-3435clean doesnt give me 3 cycle fan spin, looks like something is wrong.

at the hardware tab : audio Devices : ... nothing shows. I assume codec is not detected then.
