i put 330k instead of 1m, voltage increased from 1.1v to 1.3v
i put 20k intead of 330k, voltage increased from 0.4v to 0.6v
i tried jumpering, just for testing, if i jump pch_intruder_l, it can maintain 3.3v
if i jump pch_intvrmen,it will pull the entire ppvrtc_g3h to 1.2v.
hi, this board came in, pretty clean.
ppbus_G3h 8.6v
pp5v_s5 stable 5v
pp3v3_s5 3.3v but cycling.
I notice ppvrtc_g3h diode mode is 0.030 or so (70 ohm), I found one caps which is leaking.
now diode mode is 0.104 ( about 200 ohm resistance to ground ). ppvrtc voltage is 3.2v
I compare to 3435...
smc_lid is 3.4v stable.
after sleeping for a while, board would not have backlight when i open the lid.
part problem has been ruled out as I put the board on my known good housing.
smc has been reballed.
u9701 is replaced, with a5 jumper to pin 2 of d9701
lvds has been replaced too.
any pointer ?
board came in with symptoms : plug magsafe, fan spin for 1 second, stop. then spin for 2-3s, and loop like that
no corrosion found.
r7402/03 measured good.
when fan is spinning, all_sys_pwrgd and vcore is present.
removing ram will cause vcore to be stable, and fan doesnt cycle at all ( board...
THANKSSS A LOTTT!!
Pin 9 of u7200 to r7220 is actually broken, the broken trace is camouflaged so well.
you told me to check, so i have to do it with resistance mode to all trace.
when i see resistance so huge, turn out there's small crater.
i will be more careful next time, thanks a lot!!
hi, can we start over ?
i dont have pp3v3_s5 now, I have put everything back.
I have smc_pm_g2_en, but s5_pwrgd is 0v.
p5v3v3_reg_en is present, but pp3v3_s5_reg isnt present. is it because of missing s5 pwrgd ?
I have tried replacing u7941.
wow, ok. i actually ignore u5010 which have a oxidized feet because i thought smc_Bc_acok doesnt have anything to do with u5010, and I have pp3v42 anyway.
i replaced u5010, remove jumper and put proper r5087, and now green light and turning on.
thanks a lot man!
this should be the 'proper' way...
hmm.
i tried to play with rc rd, at first, I wire r7270, but I got 2v.
i thought, ok, lowering resistance give me lower value, lets replace with higher rating resistor. so I gave 15k ohm resistor to r7270.
but voltage is like 200mv.
Im confused.
for r7269, from board view its connected to...
the whole board is cool.
u7200justtt a bittt of warm.
r7269 and r7270 is 5k ohm each.
all around u7200 and u7200 itself has been resoldered and rock solid.
all around u2600 is perfect too.
continuity between u7000 pin 2 to u6901 is like 2 ohm.
I have tried measuring connectivity between sda scl smc to r5280 and r5281, its like 1 ohm. it should be as close as possible to 0 ohm. but everything is kinda not rly 'tightly' connected. maybe the board has some kind of flexion damagE ?
this came in botched from another store without smc.
Replaced smc, and i got green light now., but board still not turning on.
pp5v_s5 : 5v
pp3v3_s5 : 2.9v ( strange )
ppvrtc_g3h : 2.9v ( strange too)
ppbus_G3h : 12.6v
I have tried replacing tps, but still no luck.
any pointer ? thanks..
