There are no signs of spillage it works fine until I run benchmark then it gets distorted graphics and freezes/crashes. Is this a known issue with this model?

Thanks for your help. I got it somewhat working except now it gets to Activation screen and wont go into command +r mode, just straight to internet recovery and previous owner does not know the unlock details. I cant boot from external USB on it also.

They keep low as long as I keep SMC_ONOFF_L low as soon as it goes high they then go high. Yes it turns on with battery present by itself like if there was no battery present.
