this board powers up but it boots sometimes other times it wont. when it does boot into os it takes ages and runs slow. cpuvcore is 1.068v
could a damaged bios chip cause these issues? machine looks like it was water damaged and some areas looked corroded but cleaned. bios area looks like it...
i got a board which was water damaged i revived it but had EFI password. removed it and even did the clean me process on bootup it ran really slow.
are these boards affected if clean me isnt right?
could it be something else?
also i tested this board with everything unplugged just a usb mouse...
This machine came in beeping. Reflowed ram and booted but super slow. HW monitor shows no abnormal behavior activity monitor shows kernel task up to 400% i even checked all the sensors resistors and nothing is damaged. When running safe mode it works just fine.

Asd gave me a 4SNS/C0000008:Ts0P--124 error.
did some research and it is related to trackpad sensor?
i had nothing but the 2 usb ports hooked up and wifi card and display port.
ive gotten so much good advice here but one thing i still need to know is how do i know when something is considered a short in ohms when the multimeter wont give out a beep.

Funny you mention these companies being picky. I recently fixed a board for dc computers. The guy was cool but then when i showed up with the working board they didnt seem too happy i had a wire running to connect broken traces..
they said if i cannot make it look factory theyd rather just buy...
Ok means the traces are blown between 18/19 and l830 solder a wire from 18/19 to pin 2 of l830 and verify that there is continuity also make sure you are checking voltages while screen is plugged in.
u8300 could be bad but since traces are blown its possible reattaching will fix it and let...
check if you get an image or backlight. if you still dont get an image either an apple logo or flashing folder by flashing light onto the apple logo on the back of the screen then check continuity on pin 18/19 of lvds connector and pin 2 of L8304 and check voltages on pin 18/19 of lvds as well.
