I did , but maybe read it wrong

    missing pm_slp_s4_L 820-3476

just curious, if we have 32.7 khz, does the imply we have all of these signals? Asking to try and understand

    missing pm_slp_s4_L 820-3476

3.4 and 3.2 for the first two. I am not sure what 4 signals you are referring to. I am guessing this is to do with u1900 (I did swap it prior). I am getting 32.7khz on pin 12 of u1900

    missing pm_slp_s4_L 820-3476

when I trigger smc_onoff_L while checking voltage of pm_slp_s4_L it stays at 0v. What is this checking for?

    missing pm_slp_s4_L 820-3476

when I trigger SMC_ONOFF_L PM_PWRBTN_L drops fromm 3.4 volts to .3volts May I ask what this is helping us figure out?

    missing pm_slp_s4_L 820-3476

Thanks. I am assuming trigger must mean short to ground. Can I check for a drop pulse by just holding a voltage meter on PM_PWRBTN_L? can I ask another question? how come I have 1.9volts on pp3v3_s0? Is that even possible without PM_SLP_S4_L?

    missing pm_slp_s4_L 820-3476

    I am working through a missing pm_slp_s4_L on an 820-3476. The board appears clean. here are the following readings PPVRTC_G3H : 3.3v PM_SYSRST_L :1.9v LOW? PM_PCH_PWROK: MISSING PM_RSMRST_L: 3.3v PM_PWRBTN_L: 3.3v SMC_ADAPTER_EN: 3.3v PM_BATLOW_L: 3.3v One of the issues seems to be...

    820-3476 no ppbus

I double checked everything and the numbers I gave you seem correct. I also switched r7186. From what I can tell it seems like u7100 is not pulling the voltage down on chgr_agate.

    820-3476 no ppbus

changed q7180, u7100, and r7185(just because). Still high voltage on chgr_agate_div. edit added later// let me double check all of the information I gave you. I think I may have made some mistakes

    820-3476 no ppbus

I think I follow you. Even if chgr_agate_div is not turning on, but with 12 volts at chgr_sgate you should get something coming out of the q7180.

    820-3476 no ppbus

Thank you 2informaticos for spending this extra time explaining stuff. I am asking the following question to understand, not argue. Before replacing q7180 don't we first need to get the enable fixed? On a working board both chgr_agate_div and chgr_sgate_div are about 6.5 volts. On this unworking...

    820-3476 no ppbus

I was double checking my resistance reading on ppbus_g3h and I got .610 kohm, which I think is equal to 610 ohms. I also get this same reading on a known good board. That seems to be a good reading, but I may be doing something incorrectly, which happens more than I would like to admit. no...

    820-3476 no ppbus

    As you requested: ppbus_g2h resistance to ground 610ohm .123 diode mode r7180 99k r7181 62k r7185 470k r7186 300k isl6259 pin2 15.1v pin3 4v pin9 .04v pin19 5.46v pin20 5.46v May I ask a question? Is chgr_agate with its high voltage stopping q7180 from turning on? From what I think I...

    820-3476 no ppbus

I will verify those reading for you when I get back to the shop. Am I correct in my reasoning that the gate, chgr_agate, needs to have a low voltage to turn on mosfet 7180 and that fact it is high is a problem? Helping me with these extra questions helps my general understanding and helps me...

    820-3476 no ppbus

I think I had a bad charger that killed several boards the same way. I first found a short in isl6259 on chgr_acin, which was cleared after changing the ISL. The short is gone, but I am still not getting any ppbus. I have a resistance of about 20ohms between pin 27 and 28. I have about 4ohms...

820-2530 ppbus .19 volts always stays green

Thanks 2informaticos for your patience and help :-) on a side note, any idea what would damage the MCP? (I have not yet verified thst is the problem, but that uneven frequency seems bad)

820-2530 ppbus .19 volts always stays green

I will test this later. Why are we checking for less than 30k on pp3v42 ? What does that indicate? I am guessing bad mcp, if so why?
