    No backlight, LVDS connectors question.

EDIT: Tested pins 3 - 4 in diode mode both with and without cable 0.75v. Replaced connector, plugged screen, image there but fuse blown.

    No backlight, LVDS connectors question.

Hi. I have an 820-3476 board with no backlight. The board had already been worked (when I say worked I mean attacked with a hot poker). After a bit of digging and a lot of F*ing about clearing up everything that had already been done I found what the last guy had missed... I think. R7731 and...

820-3437 All rails present, fan spins high for 1 minute then power off. Cycles

Hi, I have this MacBook Air here. All rails present, no chime, no output to monitor, CPU on, board gets hot, fan starts slow then spins high for about a minute or more and shuts off. Continuous cycle. No sgns of corrosion, no signs of liquid damage at all.

    Power Supply Q

Look up foldback circuits and crowbar circuits and you'll get an idea of why it drops the voltage. Voltage will drop anyway if there is a dead short because there is a 0 impedance path to ground. You don't need a better PSU. You can make your own to do the exact same job (for your purposes) for...

    ASD (Apple system diagnostics)

Try this 52GB torrent magnet link: magnet:?xt=urn:btih:9562ACA1C66C2CD2E0A8CF876845ED 95463412B0&tr=http%3A%2F%2Fbt.t-ru.org%2Fann%3Fmagnet Takes maybe a few hours. For me it's pulling down at 5.2Mb/s... Here is the page I got the magnet link from: http://tparser.org/Apple-Service-Diagnostic

    [SOLVED]820-3437 pp5v_s4rs3

No Title Legendary! Thank you. It was SPI_MLB_CS_L, athough not obvious because it was a corroded via quite close to R6101. The via / test pad does not show up net in boardView. Definately connected directly to CE pin on U6100. This one (see attached). And bad R6116 & C6100. Thanks again.

    [SOLVED]820-3437 pp5v_s4rs3

Hi, I have this 820-3437 MBA board not powering. Every couple seconds PP5V_S4RS3 and PP5V_SO gets a DC voltage and then cut's back to 0v. Every time it does this, the voltage is lower by 1v increments. It ranges from roughly 3.8V down to below 2.5 and then loops back to 3.8V.

Update.. Well, I'll claim the glory for "fixing" this one. Must have been my voodoo dance :)

    820-00165 MacBook Air No power.

    Hi, all. Got a 2015 MBA not powering on. No liquid damage, no crusty corrosion, nothing visually bad on the board. Tested so far: Green / orange light on magSafe PPBUS_G3H = 8.5 PPBUS_S5_HS_COMPUTING_ISNS = 8.5 PPDCIN_G3H_ISOL = 14.9 PPDCIN_G3H = 14.9 PPVRTC_G3H = 3.3v PP5V_S5 = 5v...
