Hi ive got a 820-00165 board thats missing PM_SLP_S4_L but im struggling to see what creates that rail as far as i can tell im left with cpu or smc , so ive changed the smc and still the same , Diode mode reading is 495 so im sure its not a short , does this mean dead cpu or am i looking in the...

sorry PM_EN_P5VS4 is 499 in diode mode (measured in the wrong place sorry ) but yes the other 2 are o ohm to ground (without the power supply :-) )

Hi ive got an 820-00875 stuck at 19.3v no boot. ppbus_g3h is 12.93v pp5v_s5 is missing , diode reading is 450 on pp5v so guessing no short , i see it comes from pp5v_s5_ldo but cant find where that comes from, under the thermal cam the smc is getting hot . I did see the smc has pp5v_ldo but not...

both cc1/2 lines are dead short to ground and ldo lines are both 530 in diode mode , would i be right in thinking the cd3215 chip is shorted ?

Hi ive got an A820-00244 no voltage or amp draw from charger i have tried different charging ports with no change . Diode reading on both sides of F3050 is 590 so i dont think theres a short , i thought i should at least get 5v there ? , im a bit lost where to start with this one

little update , i did reflow all the components and flux the cpu and put it through the ultra sonic again which made no difference however ive just realised the board turns on everytime if i leave it disconnected until it goes stone cold

looks like i get a picture / usb activity in about 1 in 20 times of switching on

just came in as dead , no signs of spillage at all, but had been to another repair shop but couldnt really see any signs of the board being worked on , i did change all 4 cd3215 chips but 1 has steady 5v the other 3 cycle , same both directions

Hi this is a strange one i have an 820-00923 stuck at 5v (Not strange yet) changed changed u7000 tested had 19v booting up , fitted in laptop back to 5v , took out and reflowed u700 incase it didnt sit properly, back to 19v , fitted in laptop back to 5v ,took out and changed u700 back to 19v ...

Still no joy , on the host mac it looks like it done what its supposed too

ok just watched louis video on it and realise i have to double click the dfu box , went through the restore option and it looked like it went through its steps and finished but i still have nothing , any more suggestions ?
