    820-00165 Missing BKL_PWM

SMC_LID is normal and working, return resistors all seem good too. Joining EN and PWM still results in no backlight. I've ordered some replacement drivers, hopefully have them for Monday. Thanks both!

    820-00165 Missing BKL_PWM

Swapped DC-in, no difference. Actually... haven't tried adjusting under macOS, but assumed (perhaps foolishly) that the PRAM reset would auto-max the backlight. I'll boot into an OS and try that.

    820-00165 Missing BKL_PWM

I've got an 820-00165 here that came in with no backlight, working perfectly apart from that (image is fine). Only visible corrosion I could see was a tiny amount around U5110 which I cleaned up, it seemed entirely cosmetic. D7701 - 8.6v both sides XW7720 - 8.6v and clean BKL_EN - 2.83v...

820-3330 No Orange Light, Not Charging, Battery Percentage Reporting OK

These were all OEM pulled from dead machines, but probably just sat on the shelf for way too long. I need to sort through this shit and test everything, it's just finding time...

820-3330 No Orange Light, Not Charging, Battery Percentage Reporting OK

Looks like this can be closed, apologies, appears to be two bad batteries in a row!

820-3330 No Orange Light, Not Charging, Battery Percentage Reporting OK

820-3330 powering and working perfectly off the MagSafe charger, reporting the battery percentage OK, but not charging and no orange light (just green all the time). Machine dies immediately if MacSafe is pulled. Board looks really clean, no signs of any liquid, area around U7000 is immaculate...

    820-3115 - Full fans, slow

Apologies, diode mode to 3 points: SCL - 0.576 SDA - 0.574 So I'm guessing that's close enough to be OK?

    820-3115 - Full fans, slow

    Q5050 is still off at this stage. Removing R5054 had no affect. SMBUS_SMC_1_S0_SCL - 3.39 & 0.56 SMBUS_SMC_1_S0_SDA - 3.29 & 0.55

    Anything else worth trying?

    820-3115 - Full fans, slow

Seeing identical results with the Q5050 removed.

    820-4924 - Missing PM_SLP_S4_L

    PM_PWRBTN_L - 3.43 PM_RSMRST_L - 3.30 SMC_ONOFF_L - 3.44 PM_PWRBTN_L drops when SMC_ONOFF_L is triggered 1V05_SUS - 1.05 SMC bypass has no noticeable affect.

    820-3115 - Full fans, slow

Neither made any difference unfortunately, that same sensor is being flagged in MRI, though I guess it's possible that could be a wild goose chase...

    820-4924 - Missing PM_SLP_S4_L

    Board not powering following a claimed power surge. Everything above S4 that I can check exists and is in normal range, no PM_SLP_S4_L, voltage rails/readings as follows: PPBUS_G3H - 12.56 PPBUS_S5_HS_COMPUTING - 12.56 PP3V42_G3H - 3.45 PP5V_S5 - 5.02 PP5V_S4 (and 3 and 0) - 0 PP3V3_S5 - 3.34...

    820-3115 - Full fans, slow

MRI shows -127 for CPU Core PECI, everything else normal and in range. No liquid damage, came in following a power surge, powers up normally, just full fan speed and very very slow to boot/run. Components from the PECI circuit, let me know any other readings that would be useful: Resistance...

    820-3476 with short on ppbus_g3h

Yep, 20ohms, which seems consistent with reference boards.

    820-3476 with short on ppbus_g3h

Yes, all tested OK, but it looks like my replacement U7100 might have been dead, I've swapped it again and we have fan spin. Need to test fully, but looks like it's OK. Thanks for your help!

    820-3476 with short on ppbus_g3h

Replaced C7120 and U7100, but that resistance remains. Damage in the board, or have I missed something?

    17 & 18: 4 ohms 27 & 28: 718 ohms

Swapped U7501 and it looks like we're still the same.

    820-3476 with short on ppbus_g3h

Back down to 1.6v on PPBUS_G3H. I'll swap U7501 and report back.
