Ha, ha. Sorry Duke. I have no idea either. I tried a couple of times. I even read for further directions online. I'll try it again and report back. I know its simple, but have no clue what I'm doing wrong : )

I first tried by shorting C4810, and then assembled and tried that way too. First time I've heard about SMC Bypass. Found some things online about it. Never knew about it.

With the battery plugged I get 12.86 on F7140-2 after SMC Bypass. Without the battery I get 12.56 and no pulsing at R8141-2. This is a new battery, and same thing with the old battery.
I am doing the SMC Bypass by shorting C4810 with tweezers on each side. I am holding for 10 secs, then I plug in the power cord and wait 5 secs, then I release C4810 and wait 2 secs, then I pinch C4810 for 1 sec and release. Am I doing this wrong?

& this time I experimented by no battery holding C4810 plug in battery then power, wait 10 secs, release, wait 5 secs, then hit C4810 for 1 sec and getting 12.25 at F7140-2.

I do get 5v on the pp5v_s5, I get .218v on pp3v3_s5, and nothing on the s4's. So I am guessing that I need to check my pp3v3_s5 rails?

There was no water damage at all. The paranoid customer just picked it up, so no worries. I am taking mental notes and learning something new though : )

Yes, I thought it was very strange because I never seen anything like this in any of Louis's videos.
Once again I thank you for your assistance Duke : )
