3476 external display works, NO image, no backlight

It's been a while since I worked on this board, but I believe I had occasional backlight with this board previously but the LDVS connector was damaged... I replaced it and I have double, triple checked solder and connector inside but this board acts like it doesn't see the display. I also tried another compatible display with working backlight/image and same.

0V on PPVOUT S0 LCDbklt and over 1V diode red to ground WITH display connected
0V on PP5VR3v3_SW_LCD

Do you get this voltage at least in the first few seconds (at chime)?
It must appear even if no LCD connected; will go off soon in such case.

Nothing happening at all on PP5VR3v3_SW_LCD before, during, after power-up.

Did you try without LCD connected?
Be sure no short on any voltage rail of LCD.

Correct. not finding any shorts... Is it probably that issue is with U0500 itself?

Check EDP_PANEL_PWR and LCD_PSR_EN in these first few seconds.
At least one needs to be high, in order to enable U8300.

I get absolutely nothing at either when initializing power to the board

Then should be CPU issue; internal eDP output has been damaged...
