hi there

820-00045
no visible water damaged, unknow history
does look like been worked before on some areas.

the little blue led right to the battery connector is glowing
but no image or chime,
PP5V_S0 is missing, also obviously. no cpu vcore...

ppbus_g3h is 8.6v

PPVIN_G3H_P3V3G3H is 14.80v

PPVBUS_E85 is 14.77v instead of 20v (?)

PP3V3R3V0_AON is present

PP5V_S0 is missing
sometimes it goes to 4.8-9v for a second and than goes away

the board looks like has been tried to repaired before

some remaining of flux on it on those areas -

the u4700, the known common issue with theese looks like been replaced

also u4600 area has some flux on it and looks like been worked on

the area where u7860 and u7865 look like been worked not so pretty work been done there

i was thinking of replacing u7860 and u7865 as a start as they look very bad, those has to do with the 5v s0 rail?

any other advice on what to check for putting back PP5V_S0?

U4700 is fine as you have 15V coming into the board and PPBUS is present.

It seems like the board is power cycling as 5V_S0 is coming high sometimes. Is ALL_SYS also coming high like that?

hi

this is correct, ALL_SYS_PWRGD is jumping to 3.2v than 0
ppv5_s0 is doind 4.8v than 0
both are pulsing...

looking again, u7860 is actually broken on the side, i ordered a few of those and will replace the two...

this behavior has to do with the u7860 and u7865 area?
by power cycling you mean it's trying to come on again and again?

thank you..

Check U6100 area for damage. It could really be anything and seeing this board was raped repair chances are low.

hi

u6100 (the bios if i located it correctly) looks ok...

the only area that really looks bad is where u7860 and u7865 (on is broken)

is it worth replacing, could be the cause of cycling?
