Did you try known good trackpad flex/board?
Check for corrosion on the trackpad connector and circuitry.

Yes, we have used 3 known working trackpads and 3 known working cables.
There is no corrosion to any of the trackpad circuitry. I will use the FLIR to see if there are any thermal signs.
We are asking here because we have tried all the obvious steps.
Monitor SMC_ONOFF_L signal with TP/KB connected.
Machine always works correctly without TP flex (tested with USB mouse/keyboard)?
