820-00164 bios issue

Arrived with liquid damage. After replacing everything boots and loads into OS now but wont install a new OS. Suspect bios issue. During installation the screen will go black and the fan will continue to spin but nothing else happens.

If this isnt a bios issue what should be checked next?

What kind of macOS are you trying to install?

When you got into actual macOS, run a benchmark to see if machine is stable.
Check if HWMonitor reports some strange values.
Also start in diagnostic mode.

Mojave or Catalina. Both will not install. Ran benchmark for one hour via external OS seems stable.

All values on HW monitor look good.

Diagnostic mode found no issues.

When trying to shut down from external OS the machine never fully shuts down. Fan never stops spinning, even 30 minutes after shut down

Check if all S3 and S0 voltages turn off.
