Swapped Q7130.

Fan spun for a few second then went dead. Pretty sure I heard a sizzling sound. :/

Q7130::8 = OL, pretty sure it had a reading earlier.
It's getting hot again.

Of course it fried again because the ISL is dead or not soldered properly, you swap them both.
At this point the SMC seems to be dead too. This all happened due to crappy soldering :(

My soldering is a work of art this time. If nothing else I have definitely learnt how to solder these chips down well.

First attempt was appalling though.

Anyway, I'll swap both the ISL and Q7130 together and see how it goes.

Is it standard practise to swap both chips together?

Don't want to sound stupid jumping in here, I have the same problem same board and I've been following this along and I too replaced the ISL good soldering without replacing the FETs and wanted to be sure that in general replace the ISL along with the Inrush Limiter and the Reverse-Current Protection FETs?

I managed to get the customer a replacement board.

Will continue with this one to see if I can repair it anyway. Worst case my soldering improves and I get a donor board.

So my next step is to replace the ISL and Q7310 simultaneously and see if I get a different result.
