820-00165 "and other AIR boards" (memory ic fault identification)

I replace memory chips from time to time. I am very successful when I know which chip is at fault.

My question is what do you do when the machine fails a memory test and you don't know which of the 4 ic's are bad?
is there a way to identify the bad chip when no anomalies show up on thermal? Do you need a logic analyzer?

If you get a memory address reported as failed, you need to know the memory map on the board.
That will help you to identify failing chip.
If memory test stops in first failing address, doesn't mean there isn't another bad chip after.
Memory access is not so simple.
I doubt to find a bad chip with logic analyzer.
