820-00165 - chime taking a long time

Hello friends,

This mac arrived without working. it had oxidation on the U6101, I replaced it and now it works, but it takes 1 to 2 minutes to chime. Tried with a clean BIOS here on the forum, continues.

The Mac works normally after it turns on.

Try PRAM reset 2-3 times.

I had already tried resetting PRAM and SMC, it didn't work. The strange thing is that it takes time to chime to turn on and also to restart.

One more problem! I found out that the mac does not come out of rest!

Test the machine disconnecting trackpad/keyboard.
Check SMC_LID signal when turn it on.

I recommend you to reball SMC, as you've found corrosion close to it.
Also be sure all SPI Bus Termination resistors and their traces are good.
Clean/remove J6100, just in case.

I had already reballed the smc, but it didn't work.

I decided to change the U6101 component again and the mac was 100%.
