Hi,

Have got this machine with no water damage:


U7100 was fucked so i changed it, also R7110. After that macbook turned on, begin to charge the battery for some minutes. Than failed again.


Now when connect magsafe first it begins with intermiten green light, after a minute it stays stable. PPBUS about 1,5V. All other rails seems be present and ok.

Randomly light turn amber but no change in rails voltages.

Any idea?

Solved. changed U7100 again and now it's working.

Probably first U7100 replacement had bad solders...

The problem back. Every time i change U7100 it works for a couple of hour, charging and detecting charger good, and after that it only works from battery. If change U7100 it works again but for shor time. Any suggestion?

What is PPBUS when the machine doesn't turn on same voltage? I would be Q7180 is continuously killing your ISL chips

Post exact value for R7180/81 and R7185/86, measured onboard in ohm scale.
This way helps to discard Q7180 leakage issue.
