This was a minor spill. Can't find any corrosion other than on the USB-C connector on the power button side. Lifeboat is connected. Computer turns on and gets stuck at the critical update page, which is expected when it can't find the internal SSD. Any idea where to start with this?
The crater runs deep, not sure how I could possibly separate the shorted layers. Unless there's something I'm missing, I think I'll probably just have to turn this into a test board.
Drill 1-2mm deep and polish the edge, trying to eliminate burnt area.
Maybe need to make a hole of 2-3mm diameter.
Go deep enough to clean carbonized area, but stop before reach the other board side.
Nothing to lose in this case; the board is trash anyway.
