820-00281: Display won't come back on from sleep

Have this board that once it goes into sleep, the display won't come back on unto i reboot, but external display works just fine. Even after i unplug from the external display, the internal display never comes back on until reboot. No sure if this is related, but also noticed the internal display never goes off when the lid is closed. Any suggestions.

Usually Hall sensors issue.
We discussed a lot on the forum about such problem.
Inspect J5250/60 for corrosion; also check R5252/53.

No sign of corrosion. Inspected J520/60 and also R5252/53.

With Lid open TP[1]SMC_LID_RIGHT reads 3.4v, once closed it changes to 0.0v but the display remains on.

What about left sensor?
Check the reaction at U5255 I/O pins.
Be sure all its related resistors are good; as traces and solders too.

Left sensor is also responding the same, SMC_LID_LEFT_R 3.4v open and 0.0v once close. Same result with SMC_LID. Another thing i just notice is with the display. After a restart, the display would start flickering on and off every 10 or so seconds. This issue isn't always present after restart of the mac

Been a while. Finally got this unit back. Anyway, same issue. I went ahead and recalled the smc with the same result.
Recap on what have been done so far:
No sign of corrosion. Inspected J520/60 and also R5252/53.
With Lid open TP[1]SMC_LID_RIGHT reads 3.4v, once closed it changes to 0.0v but the display remains on. Left sensor responding the same as the right.
Swapped the display as well.

Any other suggestions
