820-00281: No booting up but CPU/GPU warm with fan spinning.

Hi, ive got an 820-00281 that does not boot (no image, no chime, no usb activity, no caps light) but it has fan spin and CPU gets warm.

If i let it cool down for a couple of days it turns on and works normal for a couple of minutes and then shuts down to after mentioned conditions.

Tried a completely different chasis, no change.

USB_C switches to 20v

PPBUS_G3H = 12.5v
PP3V3_G3H = 3.4v
PPVCC_S0_CPU = 0.68v

i tried chip from a working machine with clean ME.

It wont turn on with charger only (it gets the 20v). If i connect the battery i get the battery icon and wont boot.

Tried different 87w chargers but no change.

PPBUS_G3H is stuck at 12.36v. It is possible the battery is fully charged since i left it connected for a couple of hours

NO.
Try known good battery, just in case.

Be sure to connect battery data cable correctly.
Check the markings from its bottom side.

I soldered the OEM bios CHIP, same behavior,

I looked around to see if i moved any other component but everything seems intact.

12.3V means PPBUS_G3H is not correctly controled.
It must be 12.6v without battery.

Did you check on other machine if the charger is recognized as 87W?

Does it boot with a battery previously charged on other machine?
