I have a MacBook that came in for a screen replacement. The original screen was not visibly damaged but was producing thin vertical lines in select parts of the screen. After replacing the screen there is weird artifacting that occurs in the loading screen and recovery mode screens. When loaded into the OS the system appears okay. Attached is a video showing the differences. Is this a signs of a failing graphics chip or a memory issue?
This issue occurs with two known good screens whether it's attached through the extension flex or directly to TCON.
