I have the board on the bench and have a mic plugged into J6640.
the 1.8v is present. No clock or data.

Does the Mic have to be in use before this works or is it always chattering data and clock?
How do these Mic's work?

Looks like those lines come from the T2

I figured out that the clock and data signals are quiet unless you open the mic up in the IOS.
The T2 must keep the mic disabled unless used.

When I put the scope on the mic after opening it up in the software there was data and a clock.

Not sure why this was a complaint with the laptop.
I also checked for any water damage near any of the data lines to the T2 and induced physical stress.

The machine worked great.
