820-01418 - U7370 keeps shorting PPBUS_G3H to PPVCCSA_S0_CPU

Hi,

I have that board that was liquid damaged.
I have already replaced U7370 as it was shorting PPBUS_G3H to PPVCCSA_S0_CPU.
The chip is an SIC532 but showing up as SIC535CD on the 820-01041 schematics (pretty close to the 820-01418)

Board was then working fine. I could use it for a day or so.
Then again, same short, same dead IC.

After replacing it again, board would work again.
I did replace that chip 3 times already (and it's no fun cause it seats between CPU and GPU)
So my question is: what can cause that IC to die over and over again?

Could it be the CPU draining to much amperage?

I cannot assure that is your problem.
But bootstrap circuit can damage high-side MOSFET in time; if doesn't assure correct voltage Vgs.

I supposed you have correct power at U7370.
Higher value on R7375 will impede correct working, of course.
