820-01521 water damage

board came in liquid damaged. ive replaced u3100/3200 because one had a hole in it. its now upvolting to 20v and with a battery connected its drawing over 2amps so i'm pretty sure its on. the issue i'm having is no video or backlight. ive tried with know good lcd. also i don't see anything with flashlight.

i've tested j8500 and there doesn't seem to be any shorts in diode mode. i don't have any test boards to compare so i could use some help.

Do you get USB activity?
Also test external video.

no usb activity. i used usb-c to usb a apple oem adapter with usb mouse. no red light on mouse
no external video either.

cpu is getting warm though

Many times results is damaged PCH/CPU.
The hole means that internal Si die has been melt.
For this reason is possible that input high voltage strikes the data lines to PCH/CPU.
