820-01949 No boot after waterdmg

Hey i have a 820-01949 macbook.

I had a short on PP3V3_G3H_RTC. There was little corrosion under U3100_R.
I cleaned that and soldered back.
Short gone.
Alle seems good so far.

I tried DFU repair device. It stops with the dialog.

Gave up waiting for device to transition from DFU state to DFU state. [com.apple.MobileDevice.MobileRestore – 0xFCA (4042).

What i can do now.
The mac is here for data recovery.
can i swap board? What did i need? Nands ? T2?

Was that error in revive option for sure?
Revive not always solves problems.

After changig U3100, machine doesn't try to boot?
How to recover data, if you swap the board?

i just reballes i dont change U3100.
I am pretty sure why?
I can try tomorrow again and send a screenshot.


If the Logicboard is not repairable. How can i recover the data ? Just a question.
I work a lot on smartphones and do boardswaps. Transplant cpu nand eeprom to a new logicboard.
Is that an option on Macbooks?

Not at all.
Data is encrypted and encryption key is stored into T2.

Be aware, restore option will erase SSD.
However, sometime is no other option to recover the MLB.

mhh okee maybe i have image problem? i dont know.
i will try hdmi adapter and see maybe i have image on tv.
or what do yo0u think ?

the Mac doesnt work, so something goes wrong with the revive. may i need to change the U3100. I have a notification cant use thunderbolt accessoir

Try different cable.
Some people claimed on Internet that original Apple cable didn't work.
Yu should have more cables for test.
When you get one working (maybe with other machine), note and keep it only for DFU purpose.

Is that revive, or restore?

Connect charger cabke before DFU cable.
Use 87W charger and try with battery connected too.

i do revive. We need the data.

i tried all. Same error but sometimes i have apple logo with loading bar and fan is spinning.

The data may be compromised already.

Do you get progress bar only after trying DFU?
Check if is possible to start in target disk mode.

no possible. it dont react.

When i run revive it just get to this apple screen in the picture.
After some seconds i got the error mesage.
When i turn on again, it is in recovery mode.
