My reference only: TT10141
History: Coffee spill. Lot of damage around UP800, U9300. There is a lug at the bottom left corner of resistor RP860 that is missing. No documentation on what this is for. Q5240 had looked like it had damage.
Current issue: I plug in the USB-C meter, it goes to the normal 5v, then goes to 20v, stays there for about 10 seconds, then the USB-C meter reboots and it just keeps looping doing the exact same thing. The voltage appears to being pulled down.
What I have done so far: Replaced the following: Q5240, U5200, reflowed U9300 and UP800. The following capacitors were burned and replaced: CW186, CW1A2, C9406, CW187, CW194.
I removed F5200/01 to isolate, and the problem is on the PPBUS_AON side. I stuck back on both fuses.
PP1V8_S2 is present. PP1V2_S2 is present.
PPVIN_P1V8VDDH goes from 12.31v then drops to 12.01v, then drops to 6v, then loops this same thing.
RP805 has 5v.
PPVIN_P3V8AON goes from 12.31v then drops to 12.01v, then drops to 6v, then loops this same thing.
P3V8AON_PWR_EN goes to 4.78v for about 10 seconds, then drops to 0, and loops.
PP3V8AON_PH2 stays at 3.792v for about 10 seconds, then drops to 3.5v, and loops.
Not sure what else to look at.
