Did you test the board alone, disconnecting anything else?

Yes. This is with logic board out, disconnected from everything else.

Before logic board was pulled, USB-C voltmeter only cycled.

Can you complete revive in DFU?
If yes, data can be also recovered in DFU mode.
Be aware, restore erases SSD!

After further research I should have had a charged battery and trackpad connected. I did not. Will try again tomorrow and post result.

Same symptoms with charged battery and trackpad connected: does not complete DFU Revive with error "Gave up waiting for device to transition from DFU state to DFU state 0xFCA (4042).

I noticed that when the board enters DFU mode, the voltages in my first post that bounce around settle down and become stable. They start to bounce again when Revive enters stage 4, "loading software".

There must mechanical damage, even not visible.
Possibly broken internal traces.
