hey,

This machine came with a tipical problem C7771 .. I replace wok's fine but don't charge the battery .. already test with other good battery and same history!!

already replace Q7055, Q7057, Q7056, Q7058 in same time for a donor board!

In OSX say's battery not charge ..

Any history about charging issue?
It was charging before?
OSX shows percentage?

Post SCL/SDA lines on diode mode to ground; both charger and battery removed.
Also post PPBUS_G3H voltage on charger only.

If you also have aprox 3.3V on SCL/SDA lines, then should be ISL, or SMC.
Try other ISL first.
Next, reflow SMC with good flux; if still the same, change it

BTW, check first voltage at pins 12 & 13 of ISL6259.

first i replace u7000 and PPBUS established on 8.41V and SCL/SDA lines 3.4V . when i put the battery and test if everything it's ok and not charge again!! the PPBUS goes again to 12.3V.

then i did a reflow on SMC he danced, PPBUS established on 8.41V and SCL/SDA lines 3.4V again and when i went to test PPBUS = 12.3V!

i already ordered a donor board from ebay..When a board arrives i will replace the SMC and i post the results!! thank you guys

If PPBUS_G3H drops only with battery, then find another known good battery for test.
BTW, reball SMC first; you could have finished the repair before the donor board arrives...

Ok, i already reballed SMC and the voltage on PPBUS but remained in the 12.34V. After that i replace again U7000 and the voltage stabilized in the 8.41V. I set up the board and first time i entered on OSX i saw on the icon off batery 53% charing!! I think this board it's done... But i take the charger to run only with battery and the machine shuts down!! and we come back to the beginning again!

i know this battery it's good and loaded.. i check on pin ppbat_g3h_conn_F and i have 7.42V there! And with battery only don't turn on!! we are close to repair this junk!! thanks

You must get almost the same at F7040/41; with battery only, no charger.
If not, check if R7057 is OK.

Do you still get 12.3V at PPBUS_G3H with charger only?

Wow!!! so many work i have done and the problem is the bat led con!! when i put the flat cable off bat led connector the charger circuit are out off control! I was measuring in the morning PPBUS = 12.3V with motherboard assembly on the machine.. Already replace again U7000, PPBUS not changing, i take off the motherboard and measure again PPBUS = 8.42V !!! This job it's DONE!!!
