No wifi detected in system info. Replaced wifi card and cable and still nada. Tried pram and smc resets just to be sure. No noticeable issues in wifi section of board... I feel like this is something stupid.
3.3V pins 1,2,4,5 of u3401. 0 on pin 3.
L3404 had 3.3V on both sides but zero ohms resistance
3403 - 0V all 4 points 3.3 ohms
3401 -.37V on all 4 points 1.4 ohms
Any history available?
Connector pins look good?
Check diode mode on all PCIE data lines.
Be sure C3430/31 are good and check diode mode on boths sides of them.
Let this one sit for a while being it was a cheaper mac and weird issue.
This WAS something stupid. Went back to look over some things and check connectors like you suggested and sure enough, while at first glance all looked good, poking around half of the pins were off the pads on J3401. Not sure if I looked at this board before I got the high powered scope but that thing has certainly paid for itself! It is at least seeing connection in system info, now just have to get it added back in the profile. Reloading OS. Not sure if there was an easier way. When I tried to add the service back in Wifi was not a possible selection. PRAM reset didn't work either.
