820-2915 white screen

hi.

i have a very often problem.

i get boards like 2915. after heating with 100C the gpu it is working good.
after replacing gpu it is working good.

after some months it came back and it is booting and in the moment when it have to switch the gpu it shows only a white screen.

i had that a lot of times already. i dont can figure out what is the problem here.

need some help or ideas please.

the PCIe Caps on both sides have the expected values


it is a 2.2 HHYU 512

the intresting is that in the schematics i found r8613 an 8611 no stuff
and R8612 stuff

in the mainboard there is no resistor, original no. R8610 is original there, in schematics it is NO stuff. ?? is it possible that the vram has gone because there is no resistor?
The board worked great for months.

i pulled r8702 and soldered new and nice. now it is booting good.
i still dont know if its working now only because of the heating that area or because i killed the problem,

will cool it down and try after some hours. lets see....


still not clear for me because of no R8612

i already buy the GPUs from the same supplier (HKLRF.COM) over 5 years.

never i had that problems. ok perhaps they mixed me some of them in my order.

but if i replace tha gpu with a new one (another charge already) the problem is still the same -> white screen.

HKLRF is THE most notorious seller of fake GPUs known in the world! The are the same scammers as Senxin. All the shit with recent date codes they sell is fake. 1708 chips are polished remarked fakes and all of them will fail again in a few months. Never buy anything from HKLRF or Senxin! All GPUs 005/080900 listed on Ali currently are fakes.

Oh ok, thank you ! (i was lucky, I repaired in 2016 about 300, 2017 about 380 of 2915 models and returning until now 11 only.
So, the main question is answering in that the GPU is trash and thats the most possible reason for the white screen ?

So do you have a good hint where to buy ?

whats about ic-chipset? they offered me dc 2010 for 62usd.

In 2016 all these should have gone to Apple. In 2016 most chips were still available and not fake. All the ones with 1608/1613/1708 are fake. I hope you fix this stuff with a 1 year warranty as all these will fail again and the customers have the right to a REAL fixed GPU.
ic-chipset is pretty good usually and 2010 chips are probably real. Now you know why they are $62 and the fake shit from Ali is $20 for a fake 2017 chip.

ok, thanks for all the informations. and yes i payed about 45usd for the fake chips.
so i will try to order there some and replace that board so it should be ok.

and , yes, the boards wich came back now have a 1608 dc

i will report back for that

a question, we are all victims of he fake chips.
is there any listing or like that here in forum with the d/c of fake chips ?

if not perhaps it could be a good idea to do that. if less peaople buy that fake shit its not so easy to sell it for the scammers.

The most notorious date code for 0810005 are 1603/1608/1613/1631. So you have 300+ ticking time bombs out there that will return this year. Currently I would have no idea where to source 300 REAL chips. Good chips are in the $60 range right now and will NOT have 2016 date codes. It's pretty hopeless at the moment to get chips and will probably remain so.
