820-3115: 0 Ohm short on PP5V_S3

History: Likely water damage, but cleaned before repair

Any suggestions on finding the short? Power supply maxed out at 0.1V/3.5A.
Tried 3 AA bateries in series supplying ±6A (voltage assumed 4.5V). But nothing gets hot except the batteries

The batteries won't work as their internal resistance is too high so they will heat up instead of the board.

Judging by your power supply it is a "hard" short to GND so I think you are looking at a short in the board or someone messed with it and bridged something together.

Ok thanks Duke. Just needed someone to confirm. I'll just send it back to the customer as-is.

Give it a good look over, I bet someone messed with it and shorted out 5V with solder.
