820-3115-b board no hdd, folder flashing

820-3115-b board, mid 2012, intel core i7 2.9ghz.....

super clean board ,... no damage or what so ever,

not getting hd, already tried known good HD and HD cable....

folder flashing

L4500 and L4539 both have .7 ohm , i guess those are good...


i notice all 2011 and 2012 board with i7 cpu something wrong with HD

am i missing anything !! should i change the U4510!!!

Used the correct cable? Tried more than 1 cable? Drive spinning up? PRAM reset? EFI lock? All that before anything else.

Can you do PRAM reset? Can it boot to boot manager? Are you getting padlock symbol when booting to bootmanager? If so could be firmware-locked and missing OS or damaged OS. Then get firmware-password from user or remove firmware-lock from BIOS

yes correct cable ... i have 5 of them .... PRAM reset done, no efi lock at all ...

We need to know if the drive is spinning up? double checked os is working on hdd? holding down options during start up does anything show up? any info behind the board its self? check under the microscope for any thing affecting the connector on the board?

What do you see if you hold the option key with the drive plugged in?
