Came in with minor liquid damage just around SMC area. It would turn on and chime but as soon as operating system started to load it would then restart by itself. Replaced U5010 and reballed the SMC. Now it doesnt chime and vcore stuck at 1.1V

Should the SMC be replaced now?

Try new SMC

For the symptom you had, should be good enough to reball it.
I recommend you to do it again, if no other SMC available.
You can also try new BIOS file.

Reballing SMC again fixed the issue. Solved.
