LVDS area damage (from end user forcing on a 2011 panel)
Blown BKL fuse.
Green light, no fan spin.
Charges battery, no power on with battery.
CPU cold,

Is PP5V_S5 5.01V or 0V? You specify it twice in your post

S5_PWRGD high? PM_DSW_PWRGD high?

Forcing a wrong connector can only really affect power on if 3v3_S0 gets shorted. But if that happened the backlight fuse could never have blown as it needs to boot to do that.
After that it could be anything as it is probably some random component knocked off.

Thanks for your replies, this apparently was at another shop before (joy).

Apologies PP5V_S5 is 5.01v, PP5V_S3 is 0v (copy paste went wrong)

S5_PWRGD = 3.3v
PM_DSW_PWRGD 3.4v


Checking for shorts on S3/S0 rails
PP5V_S3 diode mode 0.395 drop to ground.
PP3V3_S3 0.330 diode mode
PP3V3_S4 0.386 diode mode

PP5V_S0 0.375 diode mode
PP3V3_S0 0.283 diode mode



PP3V3_S4 is 0.54v - significant ?

PP3V3_S4 is that voltage drop in diode mode or trace voltage?
Resistance to ground in Ohms?

Honestly no idea what this could be, check the board for any ugliness or missing parts. Take your time with this as they're sometimes hard to find

PP3V3_S4 has trace voltage of 0.54v (unit powered on voltage mode multimeter)
Resistance to ground on PP3V3_S4 measured at U5750 pin 4 is 7Kohm diode mode voltage drop to ground is 0.356v
PP3V3_S4_EN 0v
