Ok so I have a liquid damaged 820-3330 it’s been worked on previously as I found out further into working on it. It starts with a charged battery but with a charger will get green light but power cycling with fan spin and green light going off then coming back on and fan spin/green light. I’ve tried replacing Q7030, Q7035, Q7055 and U7000 and have checked R7021 & R7022 at c7020 and get 20 ohms, R7051 and R7052 are also correct. Anyone have any ideas?

I'll check now. Genuine charger though I've used it with other laptops as its my own so quite sure its not the issue.

Ok done 16.6v stable when greenlight and fans spinning then 16.9v when greenlight goes off.
Couple of other things I just ran ASD and fails the sleep test, ASD gives error 'no override file detected, please flash before running diagnostics'.
Also no serial number when osx is loaded so bios has been messed with.
I know it should be C02HLDP0DV33 according to the logic board sticker and box.

Not a steady light on the lite on which after checking has an aftermarket cable but is on the delta, my 858d would kill a smc in my opinion I have to run at max temp to get macbook parts to move anyway.

If SMC is the only option I'll have to leave this just think its weird it works on battery not charger.

Be aware this board requires 85W charger to start without battery.
However it should work with battery and even 45W charger connected.
A bad DCIN board can block battery charging.
SMC will not charge the battery, if cannot communicate properly with 1-wire memory from Magsafe cable.
