820-3332-A chime, no video

Howdy folks,

I've got an 820-3332-A that would work fine in SMC bypass mode, but no chime no video slow fan spin in normal mode. couldn't find anything wrong with it so I slapped a new SMC on it, and now it's chiming but I can't get any video internally or externally.

help computer?

Did the SMC come from an identical board?

Could be so many things. I doubt the original SMC was bad. Was this a liquid spill?

nope, no liquid spill at all, just wouldn't boot in normal mode but worked fine in smc bypass mode. with the new SMC on there, it's chiming now at least, just not getting video anymore for some reason.

No way the SMC dies just like that never seen that. Put back original and see what happens.
