machine got liquid spilled. no power , big area spilled and fixed. power on then got the typical battery not being detected with "X"
want to mention first, q7155 was shorted and bad, replaced. (previously board can't power on when battery inserted) .

ok , so
SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SCL=3.3v stable
SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SDA jumping around 0.2-3v

so i thought SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SDA line must be the cause, replaced ISL 6259. no luck . then replaced the SMC , no luck . exact same thing. (machine can still power on)

I checked around the isl 6259 area, but didn't find broken trace. pin 10 of isl 6259 goes to the pad under smc as checked.

really out of direction at this moment, this board is giving me hard time and want to get out of hands ASAP, any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

yes tried with a known good battery been using for repairs. ppbus around 9v.

the SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SDA jumping around 0.2-3v with or without battery. makes no difference

Around 9V....please be more specific.
R5380/81 checked? There is nothing more to this unless you got another dead SMC.
