Hello, this is my first post. I've been reading and learning from you guys a lot. I've been repairing phones for long time, then months ago I decided to jump to MacBooks repair.
I got this water damaged MacBook air which my main question is about Q7630 which is blown and because of the way it is, I'm wondering if worth it to troubleshoot it, if you pay attention to the picture you will see that there might be some damaged layer below, actually if I connect the charger orange light comes on but it doesn't charge, another question is about where to buy the part, I can only find it from China and it would take a long time to arrive. there are some other resistors and caps corroded too please see the pic and give me your professional advice.

First of all, welcome to the forum!

Very likely overvoltage went to PCH.
Lift L7630 one side and post exact ohm value (NOT diode) to ground at R7640.

Hello, thanks for replying. I removed Q7630 please see pic to what I found :(. Also noticed that R7640 is not present unless I'm wrong so only pin 1 and 2 gave me reading of 180 Ohm to GND, besides that It looks very bad under Q7630.

Q7630 is a dual MOSFET and I doubt you can resolder it properly.
If doesn't make good thermal contact with the MLB, will overheat and gets shorted.

Clean the area first and be sure no short remains between copper layers.
If some pads can be still used for heat disipation, you can try to solder new MOSFET.
Protect some traces with UV cure lacque, or small kapton piece tape (if needed).
Be aware to get good traces/solders for Gate pads.

Any reason to quote an entire post visible few centimeters above?
Maintain forum aesthetic, please.

hello, thanks for your recommendations. I'm first going to talk with the customer if he agrees then I'll try my best to do what you suggested if not then I'll give it back to the customer. I'll also recommend the get another MLB instead since I don't want to spend too much time on that. Thanks and sorry for the quote in my previous post.
