820-3437 water damage no image

This is a strange one.
Wine on the keyboard (classic).
No corrosion on the motherboard.
Replaced keyboard.
Screen has no image, no backlight.
Image flashes for a milisecond on chime and goes away.
Tested with new screen. Good image. Tested old screen on another macbook -> Good image.
No voltage on lcd connector pins. L8304 jumps to 3V for a milisecond and disappears.
Is it screen or motherboard problem?

Just swap the screens and problem solved? I would assume a bad LCD or cable. Possibly crap on IO board/cable so SMC_LID is pulled low?

Yeah but for a customer its a really expensive solution I was just wondering if there would be an alternative solution. I removed the display bezel and looked at io board and replaced lcd cable but still same problem. So I guess new screen is the only solution then.
