I wanted to replace the display on an A1502 and noticed strange behavior with the backlight. I have two used and working displays. One of them has staingate, so I want to use the other one. Everything works perfectly fine on the staingate display. On the other display, the backlight doesn't work when I start up (picture is on). The backlight only comes on when I close the display and then open it again. When I close the display again, it doesn't go off; it stays on. I've already replaced the LVDS cable.
What could be causing this? I haven't encountered an error like this before.
