A1286 MBP Early 2011 - Blue vertical lines appears randomly

while working on this machine i get those stripes that in the pic below, later on if i don't shutdown i get the whole screen blue with thin black stripes like in the other pic below, at first it was happening any time randomly during use as client says, now it happens on boot.
guess i should mention, only windows installed, no mac os for a long time on this mbp.
i think hardware because problem at first appeared randomly and worsened during further use... gpu?.... some other graphic card component?

if it is actually gpu, should i try get a new one and replace?

Bad GPU. GPUs other than 216-0809000 (6490M) are not available at the moment, only reballed garbage. Do you have a BGA machine and experience?

No, I don't have a BGA machine...
Most of my experience is on cell boards repair, reballing manually...

Baking GPU with some flux and a blower won't help here?

Reballing/reflowing NEVER is a solution for GPUs. Sure it will work again but it will of course die again in a few weeks. Fit a NEW GPU or forget about it.
