A1466 820-00165-A no power

Hi,

I have an A1466 820-00165-A that has no power, and only consumes 0.020A on bench alone and on PSU.

It had PP3V3_SUS shorted, and after replacing C7840 (oxidated) the short is gone. However I only has 2.550V on PP3V3_SUS.

On U8020 I get 3.2V on P3V3SUS_EN and 3.3V on PP3V3_SUS_FET_R.

PP1V05_SUS has 1.057V

PP5V_S5 = 5V

PP3V3_S5 = 3.3V

PP3V3_S4 = 0V

PP5V_S4RS3 = 0V

PP5V_S0 = 0V

The mac doesn't show any liquid contact.

Can you help?

How is this possible?
R8020 is not even mounted; direct short between the pads.
Please, post accurate information.

What about PM_BATLOW_L and PCH's RTC signals?

Hi,

I've mesured both several times.

PP3V3_SUS = 2.564V on C7840 and on U7840.
PP3V3_SUS_FET_R = 3.334V mesured on test pad and on U8020

PM_BATLOW_L = 3.331V

PCH_INTRUDER_L = 3.066V
PCH_INTVRMEN = 3.238V
PCH_SRTCRST_L = 3.328V
RTC_RESET_L = 3.328V

Check 3V3_SUS trace continuity.
You can't have different readings on the same (good) trace...
