A1466 I/O BOARD

Hi!

I have about 3 i/o boards that the the thing marked in the circle got burned. that happens when piece o metal gets inside the magnetized charger and burn it.

What is that and how can I replaced? how can I fix it? thanks

uCalmp2401T, ESD protection diode.
Usually killed by fake chargers.
Original charger only serves 3V (Magsafe 2) on output (low current), before handshake protocol is done.

Can I put a wire instead? I don’t have the spare part now!

Wire, didn't you look at similar schematic???

Machine can work without such diode; in fact there may be another one, after the series coil.

I dont have the schematic for that! The light on the charger is off!

Something more must be accomplished on the MLB, to get Magsafe light.
Is your MLB working with known good LIO board?
Have to locate the problem first.
