A1707 15" 2017 - no OS install possible / SSD showing up / not showing up

Hey guys,

got a 15" A1707 here. 2TB SSD.

Boot into Recovery is possible. I see the SSD. But OS installation breaks up. After reboot the SSD is not showing up. After i reboot again via USB / Internernet recovery I see the SSD again.

Whats going on here?

Clean J9600 contacts first.

Start in target disk mode and check/test the SSD from other machine.

If all signals and voltages are good, you can try to reball/replace the NANDs.
I know people mounting M2 SSD on these machines.
