A1932 820-01512-A no power

Hi,

I have an A1932 820-01512-A that has 20.5V (steady), but gets to 0.20A and cycles in arround 10 senconds

PPBUS_G3H oscillates in between 12.60V and 12.28V

P5VG3S_VSW oscillates in between 5.124V and 0V
PP5V_G3S oscillates in between 5.124V and 0V

PP3V3_G3H steady 3.3V
P3V3G3H_VSW oscillates in between 3.3V and 3.5V

PP1v2_S0SW = 0V
PP1v_S0SW = 0V

ALL_SYSPWRGD = 0V

No signs of corrosion, and no short on any big coil.

Have no idea where to go from here.

It is recognized into DFU mode?

Inspect audio board/flex for corrosion.

Hi,

It isen't recognized in DFU mode, and I have the same result with the board alone on the bench

Check diode mode to ground on U7800 coils.
Also check all big coils.
Compare readings with good board.

I don't know if this error helps, but when I try to do the DFU, I always get the error "connect this mac to a thuntherbolt port"

Did you try with the same cable used for other DFU jobs?

L7811 = 0.837V and 0.161on diode to ground reading
L7813 = 0V and 0.356 on diode to ground reading
L7814 = 1.1V and 0.269 on diode to ground reading

Connecting with eth cable worked, and I manage to install macOS.

It seams that I have other problem on this one:

When I close the display, the Mac don't hibernate.

I think that probably there is some sensor to activate it, but don't know what it is.

Can you help?

Check SMC_LID_LEFT/RIGHT signals.
At least one should drop when close the lid.
IPD_LID_OPEN should drop at same time.

Hi,

SMC_LID_LEFT is 0V, but IPD_LID_OPEN remains at 1.8V (read at J6700 with cable disconected)
SMC_LID_RIGHT is 1.8V

U4802 is an "OR" gate, so both inputs must drop to 0V, in order to drop output too.
You have a problem with right lid sensor.
