Hi,

Apologies I can't seem to find the board number. Client has liquid damage. She said was WAS turning on so she took to Apple for a checkup, they told her to replace entire unit and now the unit does not turn on at all. I have examined the board, there was a lot of water in the macbook but the board seems OK visually. On the touchpad there was a little corrosion which could be the cause of the issues (assuming the On button runs through the KB as in the past.

Obviously without a board number I can't get a schematic or provide any useful info to you!

Where might I find a board number?

HI

Sorry I am not sure I understand your question.

The device may be under Apple original warranty period but is now void due to water damage, or is there something here I do not understand?

Apple have told her to replace the entire logic board at her cost.

Cheers

James

Did you try the board alone on the desk?
Use only charger, nothing else connected and check if voltages appear on the big coils.
