Hi,
I’m working on an A2681 logic board (820-02536) that originally had a 512GB dual-NAND setup. Unfortunately, both original NANDs (UN000 and UN100) are faulty.
For testing purposes, I want to convert this board to a single 256GB configuration using a KIC5224 NAND pulled from a donor A2681. I have already tried populating only UN000, but the Apple Configurator 2 restore fails in DFU mode …
Is there a specific BOM CFG / Strapping resistor configuration for a single-NAND 256GB setup? Additionally, if I decide to upgrade this board to 1TB (Dual KIC5226) later, what exactly needs to be changed in the strapping?

Open:
- 256GB (Single-NAND): Which resistors are need to be moved to tell the M2 SoC to operate in Single-Channel mode?
- 1TB (Dual-NAND Upgrade): If upgrading from 512GB (2x 256GB) to 1TB (2x 512GB), what is the correct resistor combination for the increased density?
